How to Make Ragi Java Using Divya Ragi Powder

Ingredients:
- Divya Ragi Powder – 2 tablespoons
- Water – 1½ cups
- Milk – ½ cup (optional, for sweet version)
- Jaggery – 1 to 2 tablespoons (adjust to taste)
- A pinch of cardamom powder (optional)
- Salt – a pinch (for savory version)
- Buttermilk – ½ cup (optional for savory version)
How to Prepare:
Step 1: Make a Slurry
- In a small bowl, mix Divya Ragi Powder with ½ cup of water.
- Stir well to make a smooth, lump-free paste.
Step 2: Cook the Ragi
- In a pan, boil 1 cup of water.
- Slowly add the ragi slurry to boiling water while stirring continuously.
- Cook on low flame for 5–7 minutes until it thickens and becomes glossy.
For Sweet Ragi Java:
- Add jaggery and a pinch of cardamom powder while cooking.
- Stir well until jaggery melts.
- Optional: Add ½ cup warm milk and mix. Serve warm.
For Savory Ragi Java:
- Add a pinch of salt while cooking.
- Let it cool slightly and add buttermilk before serving.
